Hks Ssqv Bov Help!

this is going to sound very dumb, but i am new to the rx-7 life, i just got a red '95 a couple days ago. I have an apexi GT exhaust, an M2 air intake box, new intake piping, and a HKS Super Sequential BOV

Question: What do i have to buy/mod in order for me to be able to install and operate the blow off valve, the actual hardware installation is not the problem, i just need to know wether i need any sort of other piping or performance piping to install it onto, or can i just throw it on with the stock pieces

thanks

Depends on the flange...my flange i got for my TYpe-S just replaces the stock ABV...thats the best way if not i heard all u do is get a greddy 3peice kit and bu the flange that welds onto hardpipe and there u got...when u do that make sure u plug the ABV spot

yeah...if all u have is a the BOV it self w/o a flange...u should get a BOV flange from HKS like a 40mm or w/e ur BOV size is....then weld it somewhat close to the throttle body

disregard that. the closer to the turbos the better. the whole point of the BOV is to relieve pressure from the turbos in case of closed throttle so that they dont stop or backspin and break the shaft. and, the more noise it makes the more pressure your putting on the turbos(pressure is creating the sound) so keep that in mind.

People told me to put my BOV cloestest to the throttle body so when it closes all that compressed air will be pushed out the BOV and not stuck inside the piping....it still does the same thing anywhere u put it on the pipes

Well shouldnt you put the BOV closer to the turbos because it would release all the air pressure before the turbos and all the "backpressure" after the y-pipe? If there is air in the pipeing and the throttle is closed then it would cause backpressure and then send it back towards the turbos in the y-pipe. The stock bov location would release all of this opposed to one closer to the throttle body that would only release the air still being sent from the turbos and the "backpressure" from when the throttle is close (which is not to much). Well either position has its advantages i guess. Im not to sure. Just a theory. Sorry if it was confusing.
