I have an SSQV and it is not adjustable if that is what your asking, they have inserts (purple, gold, etc) that change how it sounds.

Weren't there a couple production runs of the SSQV? The ones I have seen don't have adjustment, but maybe the earlier ones did.

The limited edition seems to be just a ssqv2 but in black. Hks did come out with a 3rd gen ssqv but I doubt its any different than the previous.

You should have gone tial or the synchronic bov from synapse.

I had no idea those inserts change the sound. I have mine recirculated so it wouldn't matter anyway

Its barely noticeable, or at least if you're not running "high" psi.

So how does it sound without the inserts? I hate my SSQV, not a fan of the sound at all...

Without any insert?

It sounds like the stock bov lol

I went back to the stock bov because i saw no benefit of having the ssqv, thats why im selling it lol

Unless you have the ssqv exposed for show, i dont see why anyone would wanna have one. The stock bov is just fine or if you want aftermarket, tial is a good one or the synapse synchronic bov.

Well I'm single turbo so a stocker is not really an option. But I have always hated the sound of this BOV... So if it sounds like a stock BOV when no insert is in place, then I welcome it.

Though I suppose the stocker could leak under higher boost applications, it is really the mounting of it that is undesireable.

I took my insert out after about 30min.

Sounds like the old old HKS BOV (one that looks like a horn).

It's louder than the stock BOV but same type of noise.

I like it much better without insert
