HKS Racing Suction Kit

Having installed a HKS Racing Suction Kit into my 1996 Car I am the first to admit that I am very dissapointed!

It looks great but is incredibly loud. The air from the lower turbo pipe seems to be resonating and causing massive amounts of noise.

Can someone suggest an induction kit that sounds good and that isn't too loud (I like to hear what my passengers are saying!)

I was thinking of the M2 system which looks impressive....

Secondly can I have some views on exhaust systems, I was looking at the Apexi N1 Dual and HKS setups but I belive that Apexi systems are pretty much straight through and therefore very loud. Any help would be useful.

Most of the open air intake systems are loud. Go with a closed system like the M2 air box.

Thumbs up

all open air intakes will have that sound. i have the intake system as well as my friend. it is caused by the airpump and not by the sucking of the turbo.

the enlosed stock airbox has baffles to silence the sound.

you can always take out the airpump and that "MOOING" sound will go away

Thumbs up HKS Racing Suction Kit

Many Thanks For The Replies Guys.......

I'm gonna try and return the item to the dealer, if they won't give me a refund offer then I will have to sell the item.

I will try and give the best price I can but due to UK Taxes the prices are much higher than in the US (price new is around $600 or £425).

Bye for now!

Haha..

Keep your Intake and use it.
Why even mod your car at all
if you are worried about noise?
Intake sound is nothing compared
to other things that will make your car
faster.. Speed = Noise, regardless
of what anyone say.

Give it some time. You start appreciating
the noise of the intake and BOV's...
