Question HKS Intake???

I was curious what the difference is between the HKS with the green filters, and the more expensive (490$) RS or JDM HKS intake with polished pipes and yellow filters?? Besides appearence is there any performance difference? Are you happy with this intake? Can I utilize a custom heat shield so it uses colder air?

The Racing Suction comes with polished alum/SS piping, the normal kit reuses the stock flexible intake piping. Probably little difference other than that.

If you are going to go through all the trouble of trying to fab up some kind of heat shield, why don't you just buy a box-style intake in the first place?

Thanks I have been trying to decide between HKS and Apexi intake for like 2 damn months. Its driving me crazy why cant I decide PPPLEEASEEE someone who owned both tell me which one to get! LOL Everyone tells me somethin different on pro's and con's. I like HKS because thats my brand and my dp and exhuast is too. However Apexi has a better filter and makes alittle more hp. I am very picky.. : )

The good thing about the HKS RS is that it turns out instead of in. It will help when trying to clear larger SMIC's or FMIC piping.

You can always just to hard pipes and K&N filters. It will be just as effective as all the rest.
