HKS Hi-Power VS Blitz nur spec

I know the subject of exhausts seems to come up every once in a while and then promptly get beaten to death. So my apologies for bringin this tired subject up again.

I've done a lot of searches and have narrowed my choice down to either the HKS Hi-Power or the Blitz nur spec. The key things I'm looking for in an exhaust is a deep note, good price, easy bolt on and durability. The nur spec looks like a great bang for the buck with a good exhaust note but I REALLY like the offset mount of the HKS unit. I've found some clips and pics on how the Blitz looks but nothing specific for the Hi-Power.

Can anyone provide some info on the Hi-Power? Does it sound like crap? Is it louder than the Blitz? Which of these two would you go with?

For me... I really like the Racing beat dual it has a very sports car sound to it and it doesnt sound rice. I previously had the HKS carbon Ti and man that **** was obnoxiously loud and annoying... Many Japanese exhaust are pretty damn loud so personally I stay away. Racing Beat customer service is really good to so you should probably try and check them out too~~~ my 2 cents.

I love my Apex'i GT Spec exhaust. It's not obnoxiously loud and it has the offset mount that you are looking for. It 's made of all stainless steel including the piping and the piping is pretty big. It's almost 3.75 inch piping. Just my reccomendation but hope you find your exhaust system you are looking for.

The Apex'i GT spec exhaust is one of the loudest on the market. I’m assuming you have the stock cat and pre cat. ANY exhaust with the stock cats isn't going to be obnoxiously loud.

I agree with Dwood.. Apexi GT is one of the loudest exhaust.. He must have the stock cat.. I have N1 dual and when I had my stock cat, it had very nice tone.. now with full exhaust, its loud as hell.. I had to get the silencers to tone it down... which in return same as leaving the cat.. since silencer reduces the opening by at least 50%..

Do you think it would cut down the noise to a decent level if I eventually bought a resonated MP?

i've heard the resonated MP helps, but honestly, it's all up to what you consider "too" loud. any of the "can" type exhausts are going to be fairly loud. and there is a thread somewhere hear with some exhaust clips. i know cause i listened to them when i was looking into buying a CB. just don't have them saved anymore. good luck.

I have the racing beat dual tip on my car and it sounds awesome. I used to have a nurspec and it was too loud for me with dp mp. Also you might want to check out the rsr single tip which is similar to racing beat. They both sound nice and dont make a obnoxious ricey sound.

I found the thread with the sound clips but I didn't see one with the Hi-Power. My car is currently bonestock except for a M2 DP. I plan on keeping my stock cat for a while. I'm just looking for a good low price exhaust to replace my rusted stock exhaust. I like the RB dual and single tips but I want to keep the price under $400.

Am I correct in assuming either exhaust won't be bad at all as long as I'm still running the stock cat?

I've got the nur spec, and I love it. Great sound, not to loud (definitely none of the cracking, popping buzzing noise common to hondas and the like). It has been on the car for over a year and is still in great shape. Overall, I would suggest it to anyone looking for a great cat back at a very reasonable price. Josh

Hey Kinetik do you (or anyone else) have a photo from directly behind the car? I want to see just how much the angle of the offset mount is. I think this may be the model I go with. Thanks for the cool pic so far!

Is that 9.5 in the front and rear? Uhhh...got any pics from the side? I'll do a search to see if I can find some other threads on this.

BTW, does anyone know if the Volk Gram Lights 57 Pros come in Gunmental?
