HKS Downpipe install Update. Need help!

I read all about downpipe installation before posting this...

Everything went fine until the last nut/stud (closest to the firewall), the one that not visible by sight. Either because I didn't have good leverage or the it's seized.

I barely have any grip using a 14" long handle 1/2" rachet. Letting it soaked with WD40 right now. My 1/2" breaker bar was too thick at the head, thinking about grinding it down...or go get a cheater metal pipe...

Sure dont want to mess it up and the turbos will have to come out...or bolt everything back up and take it to a shop (4 hrs labor x 75.00).

Any idea?

TIA.

Agreed. I am gonna try again tomorrow with some sort of cheater pipe. I think good leverage will break it loose...

The other 3 nuts/studs came loose with very little effort...

another question: if they fit could I reuse the studs/nuts?

hey since i just did this and finished today here is some advice take the shield off of the abs and this will allow u more room to get that bolt off...trust me it helps a lot...also when if u havent already gotten to the midpipe/dp connection...take the shield off of the transmission there are 4 bolts holding it in...allows u more room to get that last bolt off...i tried for 4 hours on it until i realized that...

It took me about ~2 hours to install mine. I didnt remove the ABS or tranny shield to remove the stock DP or to install the HKS pipe. I dont remember using a breaker bar or cheater pipe to remove the nuts. I believe I used a regular ratchet and some open ended wrenches to get the job done.

I did removed the abs shield off...totally knock off the precat shield...

Just got the nut off moment ago by using a plumbing pipe as an extension...stud remain on the turbo. I am planning to re-use the nut/stud anyway. I think they will fit the HKS pipe...

Putting it on will be another chapter. LOL!

yeah with hks and petite racing downpipes u can reuse the studs and nuts...u may want to consider reusing the nuts though...u can infact reuse them only if they are still ovaled shaped on top of the nut..u will see what i am talking about when u look at them...some studs will come out...which is fine...just put them back in when reinstalling...if the nuts are not oval shaped i would consider replacing them...this helps them lock onto the stud.

edit: yeah installation is a hell of a lot easier...using the jack to hold up the midpipe made it a lot easier for me...just a suggestion...
