Question Hitch for Autocross trailer

Hi All,

Bought a used hitch made for the FD from a guy that pulled a little trailor for autocrossing supplies, ( you know, tools, gas, race wheels and tires ECT. )
Well everything looked to be there but when I looked up under the bumper I saw no location that this would bolt to. It uses 4 U bolts to attach. This is what I saw under there...

The red part of the frame the back of the gas tank and the big Al. beam under the bumper cover.

For those of you that have done this install or looked at the install someone else did on your car... How does it go on, I'm guessing I'm going to have to drill holes in something under there because there is no place for the bolts to go through.

Need some help here, what is the correct location of the hitch under there and where do the holes go.

Thanks,

PS...I did search the how to sections but no luck on this info.

It is a different design from the hitches I saw in the search section. That is why I would like correct directions. Unlike most receivers that have the hole for the Trailer ball mount facing the rear of the car this hitch's square hole faces the road and then the ball mount has a 90 degrees bend that goes up into the receiver. You really can't see anything when the pin is pulled. Not heavy either.

Looks nothing like mine. Who did you say makes it? I like that design better, though it does appear you will have to drill the bumber support. I say no big deal. 100% hidden is neat.

Gil Gredinger has this type of a hitch - completely hidden. I tried to get this hitch but I couldn't find it at U-haul.

Gil is on the World RX7 list. I am not sure if he frequents here.

I installed and wired my hitch myself. Mine is a U-Haul hitch, but any will have to attach to the bumper in your pic and my technique will work. Instructions about midway down the page Hitch Install

PM me if you need help.
