high operating temperatures?

hey guys

i've noticed that my FD heats up very quickly.....and i was wondering if this was normal? it'll start at 180F, but under normal, street-traffic driving conditions where the car is sitting in place a lot, it'll go up to 210 or so in a matter of a few minutes. today i was driving the car around the block a bit, working on my rev matching etc so i was revving the engine mildly high (only up to 4 k though), and after only about 5-10 minutes i noticed the car was already at 230 F! i wasn't pushing the car to its limits either, just rev-matches here and there....

i just had a new radiator put in, could this be the reason? anyways i'm hoping there's something up with the temperature...after all like this how would the car be able to withstand a good lap at the track??

thanks

It sounds like you need to burp your system. You will see your temps rise while your standing still and they should drop pretty fast once you start moving again, but 230 is very high for not using the 2nd turbo. I almost never see 230 when I track my car during the summer months.

Burp the system and maybe do some ducting.

Have you checked both of your fans?
