high flow cat vs. midpipe
If you are running the midpipe and have a good tune with a boost controller, without porting the wastegate, you will still have boost creep problems. If you do not want to port your wastegate, then your only other option would be to throw some restrictor plates in, or put a high flow cat.
PFC's do not affect in any way whether you will get boost creep and need to port the wastegate. Neither do boost controllers.

You cant really tune out boost creep w/ a fuel controller. You can probably mitigate boost creep to some degree with a boost controller, but only if you run a much lower boost than intended. For example:
If you were running 12 PSI and you noticed that the pressure was creeping up to 14 PSI, you would probably need to set your boost controller to limit your boost to 10 PSI and it would then probably creep closer to 12 PSI towards redline in the upper gears.
That would be a pretty shoddy way of dealing with boost creep, porting the waste gate would probably be your best option, or find some way to convert to external waste gate. = )
Ok so i just ported my waste gates and all i can say is anyone can do it. anyhow i was going to run a three in down pipe and three in allthe way back to a muffler. I also want to keep my stock ecu so i figured i would get a manual boost controler and set it low mybe 8 or 9 psi????? Dont know sounds pretty fail safe wanted to get some imput. thanks
