High Flow Cat

need some help! just got my 93 fd about 3 months ago and the pre cat just went bad. the previous owner instaled a pettit intake, mid-pipe and hks drager. i am planning on buying a downpipe but have been reading alot about boost creep without an aftermarket ecu. i was thinking about just buying a downpipe and a high flow cat to swap out with the midpipe. would that solve the boost creep problem?

Yes. You need to get rid of the midpipe. Replace the pre-cat with the DP, install the high flow cat, and you won't have any problem with creep.

Keep the midpipe and get a downpipe and you'll see a big difference. there will be boost creep UNLESS u port the wastegate on the twins manifold or an aftermarket wastegate. I have a mid and ported the stock wastegate and perfect all the way.

Isn't the super dragger exhaust a 4 inch exhaust?

I agree with Vegas. Get rid of that pre-cat and put on a DP and a quality Hi-flo cat. It will smell better, run quieter and you'll still see a substantial performance gain. You'll reduce underhood temps substantially and, as a new owner, you won't have to worry about porting the WG to avoid creep.

I had a downpipe hks hi power cat back and a gutted stock midpipe. the boost would creep up to 14 or 15 every time. So i got an rx7 store hi flo cat and my boost never goes above about 12-12.5 and it sounds and smells much better.
