Yes, replacing the fuel filter is a MUST do. If it clogs, it can cause engine detonation.
And as others have said, if you don't buy the car, I will. PM me if the deal falls through.

I got it!!!!! I drove it about 50 miles. The suspension is so smooth, yet firm. The power is always there, any gear, just about any rpm. The seats are so supportive! I am absolutely in love with this car. I just filled up the tank for the first time, 10.6 gallons, but I am not sure how far the car was driven, so mpg is unknown. My only n00besque question is how far up the dipstick should the oil level be, it looked ok when I checked tonight (btw it is a pita to get to).
TIA!

Well I am coming from a ford contour, so the power is better everywhere than it was at peak. The car is at my shop now, getting all the fluids changed out, getting new tires, a few other things fixed up, it will be already for me to rock and roll. Trying to describe how great the car is with words will not do it justice.

I bought it on Monday! It is in the shop getting the fluids changed out, new belts, new tires. It will be ready to rock and roll tomorrow. No modding will be happening for a while. coming from a 170hp ford contour, I think I will need some time to actully be able to use most of it's power and handling potential. Then it is off to driving school to help with the nut behind the wheel, then we can talk about mods.
I will get a new ast though, don't anything to go wrong yet *knock on wood*

Yeah losing a few hundred pounds of weight, rwd, 2 turbos, is enough to keep me busy for a while. Heck I was still getting better at driving the contour, faster in and out of the turns, more control, better apexing etc. I am looking forward to lean how to drive this car too. The few corners I have been able to go into the car feels so solid at speeds I would take the contour into it with. I have not had the rear end kick out yet, i've only given it half throttle in first around 4.5k, it feels pretty planted. I'll be lurking around this site for sure!
