Hi-Flow Cat-Converter tamed my excessive boost!!

No more over-boosting. Installed the MagnaFlow 3" Hi-Flow catalytic converter on the MP this a.m. and it cured the 15 psi boost problem I was having. Funny thing, the car is launching quicker and pulling stronger from 1st to 2nd gear shift. I guess the back pressure created now by the Cat-Conv is helping create a little more HP in the lower RPM range???. It also got alot quieter. Performance is up and exhaust DB's are lower at city street speeds. WOT is awesome and it sounds pretty good too!!

Just thought I'd share this with you Guys..

No, but I might get a chance this week-end to snap a few shots.

If you can do that that would be great.. cause right now the car im about to buy has a midpipe and I dont feel like getting a high flow cat and paying 400bucks if I can just pick up a cat and weld it in..

I know what you mean!!. My set up looks identical to the systems being sold (for 400 plus) on some of the RX7 Shops.

FYI: I payed $58.00 (no shipping charges) for the MagnaFlow Cat.

Godzilla,

You might check this thread about the new cat technology that seems extremely interesting:
