Ebay got some good and cheap intercoolers.. I picked up a side mount 2 years ago. for mine and works great... 135.00 can't beat that!!.... and if you want a cheap boost controller get a manual 1. but before you try to buy a boost controller do have any kind of stand alone Unit. (ecu) other than stock..

Look in the classifieds for a used ASP/M2 Medium IC or a PFS SMIC. As far as a boost controller:

why the hell did you capitalize the first letter of every word?

and just for the record:

cheap does not equal good. if you're gonna do something, do it right.

Let the guy capitalize the whole thing who cares!!! got damn it,
anyways
True but 1 thing is true... CHEAP is not always good. intercooler and intake probably one of the things i would buy from ebay!! so anyways jst search for ebay intercooler, boost controler whatever.. "SEARCH" is the key!
but now you already know where to go for a good price on a IC.
and Save your money for a Power FC or something!! you dont need a boost controller you need a ecu and a Tune!! thats all ohh and that IC

The cheapest way to control boost is a diy manual one.
about $80 you can get the turboxs manual bc...friend of mine runs it on his T78.
electronic is a quite a bit more, about $200(lots of bidding) on ebay or maybe even used for a little less.

It sux about the snow, although I took wifey's subie out, tires are almost out of thread, had a blast slidding on all 4s!!!!

If you are broke, do a manual boost controller, keep the boost at 10 PSI, and then just save your money. When you have some money stored away, then look at upgrading the car properly.

just curious more than anything, but what is a street port swap?
did you swap your stock motor for a street ported motor or did you get your motor ported? just confused.

also, is it safe to be running around with a street ported motor without the supporting mods?

Dont be skimpy on the boost controller. The last thing you want is for it to malfunction and your new motor goes flying out the window. As for the intercooler, i think you will be ok until you can afford one.
