Hey guys whats considered normal temp in a 3rd gen?

I dunno if yuor guages have the degrees spelled out or not, i have a first gen with a s6 cosmo motor... I wanna know what normal is and what hot is considered to be.

My haltech reads 190 and my guage on the dash reads a little over a 1/4

Wow, car seems pretty bad ***. Normal is anywhere from 175-225 I think. My car has never (since I've owned it) gone over 220 in the hottest weather. Usually stays around 190 in the summer.

Thanks man I see all the haltech maps kicking the fans on at 195 and off at like 185, so now I know why. I got a firend with a autometer guage in his car, and it only gets to 160, I think its wrong or he has a thermostat that is open all the time.

Seems like it would get a lot hotter than that if the thermostat stayed shut..

the hottest I have seen my car is 110 cel. over 103 cel the ecu (PFC)has this funky rev thing that it does to drop temps really, really fast. I rarely see over 80 cel in normal driving, the only time I break 90 is due to heat soak after the car is off and the fans are no longer running.

On a cold day, I'll run at a steady 190, and it goes up to 215 with the AC on a hot day.

Normal for a 3rd gen is 180-221F, I have a guage but it reads too low for some reason, but low fans kick on at 221F.
