hey guys i need some advise on my 3rd gen

hey guys, im having a problem with my 3rd gen, from 5,000 rpm to 8,000 rpm seems to do nothing but back fire and lose alot of power when its at anything over 10psi, its still stock twins but have alot of other mods, im just wondering if its just in need of a really good tune?

List your mods and do you have a PowerFC? Kind of hard to help diagnose without the information of your vehicle.

are you having the stock PFC map? if so, that is most likely the case. The stock map runs the FD really rich therefore a good tune is required.

1 more question, is this what happens after you've done the mod and have the PFC installed? If so, it most likely needed a tune.

yep, that's what i am thinking. The car is currently running way too rich therefore it requires a tune to straighten up the MAP.

Good luck, and let us know the result once tuned.

so this problem has just started? i would start by checking all the lines in the Rats nest i know its a bitch. but i could be as easy as a boost leak out one of the hoses... if your getting smoke under the hood. i would follow this up with a solid tune for the car.. even running the stock boost pattern i would get a retune and make sure everything is in perfect working order.
