Helpppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!car won't turn over.
Here's the scoop. I haven't driven my car since Sunday (Sunday was some easy driving, nothing aggressive). I went to start it up this morning and it sounded as though it wanted to start, couple of normal sounding cranks but nothing. Then I proceeded to start it again and it just went "weeeeee", "weeeee", that's kinda what it sounds like. It's almost like there is no spark to ignite the fuel mixture, am I barking up the right alley?
I also smell gasoline when I try to turn it over. I checked for any external leaks, there are none.
Can anyone give me an idea where to start? This is the first time I've experienced any trouble in the year that I've had the car, it has 45,000 on the odometer.
Thanks in advance,
Timothy

1. Dead battery. Simple and easy change.
2. Dead Alternator. Simple and easy change.
3. Bad plugs and wires. Easy change.
4. Motor could be flooded which means you'll have to go through the deflooding process. Pretty easy.
5. Bad fuel filter. Pain in the ***.
6. Bad fuel pump. Semi-easy change.
P.S.: If you tried starting the car with bad plugs, then there will be alot of fuel in the motor. You will have to de-flood the motor anyways.
How's that for a start

Just to confirm. The normal cranking sound is missing. If anyone has heard a piston motor try to crank when the timing belt has broken then you will know what sound I'm referring to. As opposed to the normal cranking sound (sounds like it's trying to turn over) it's a constant whirrrr, kinda tough to explain.

any compression figures
maybe the seals arent holding, and they are just flooding the plugs. thats y you get the wheee sound, it turns correct. but it doesnt sound like its supposed to.
its sound like it not holding compression.
