thats for the automatic warmup system and it goes to the back of the stock elbow. Thats why your car doesnt rev to 3000 when you start it up like it used to stock.

you need to at least cap the line with a rubber cap. Other wise unfiltered air will be entering your engine...shortening it's life(eventually, do to dirt or other debris getting in there) The stock elbow is the black or gray tube that bolts onto the throttlebody. It connects to the intercooler as well. There is a nipple that the hose goes to on the stock elbow. If you have the greddy elbow it is not there and you just cap the line shown in the pic.
The elbow would be in the lower left of the pic if it were bigger.

I was just wondering what is the function of this thing? Is it ok to cap it off?
what are the advantages of caping it off?
Is it better to just put the hose back on??

Thanks guys!!~~~

you can search under that OR you can search under what its really called, the Accelerated Warmup System.

Its basically a system mazda used to prevent you from beating on the motor until it has reached decent operating temperature. Cap it off and just take it easy on the throttle until you have given the engine time to properly warm up.
