Talking help with turbo's

Hi, does anyone know if the relief valve nears the air box should let air throught it. I have thought of fitting a dump valve, so i removed this pipe, with this valve on. I then decided to see how well it would sound with this valve venting into the engine bay. When i started it up some air was coming out of it and when i reved it alot more come out. I thought this was a one way valve, so could it be broken
help plz
adam

You can disconnect the short hose that connects it to the airbox, (although it would be wise to attach a filter if you leave it this way). But you can't remove that valve or the little vacuum line leading to it.

The ECU controls a solenoid which applies/releases vacuum to the valve, locking it open or shut. So it should not be always open or closed. See http://www.autosportracetech.com/RX-...leshooting.htm for more details.
