Help, turbo oil lines torque specs
HI guys I am reinstalling my new EFINI twins and I have to shop manual but doesnt have anything with the TURBO install. What is the TURBO OIL/COOLENT lines torqes specs at the TURBO???
Dude you don't need to tighten them to a specific torque, just tighten them securly but not too much. Just feel what you think is right. That's what I did on everything except the manifold to block bolts and LIM to block bolts and my car is holding up fine.
The thread from a couple of days ago was mine. I was wondering if you would get an answer, I did not. I was looking for torque specs for the oil and coolant lines at the turbos. I finally did it by feel and it was ok. I assume you are using new crush washers. You will feel them start to crush as you tighten. Some have recommended using new banjo bolts for the oil lines as they tend to shear on re-use. I reused and had no problem. No leaks. Funny that is not in the FSM. FWIW i did extensive searches and did not find it here but searched in for similar fittings on other cars. Curious to find out what the real specs are, though. Good luck.
