HELP: round circle connector to thermostat?

hey can anyone identify this connector? what is its purpose and do i need it? it broke of my wiring harness and i dont have the connector anymore... how can i replace it?

its the black circular one on the back side of the thermostat housing... will get a pic later... comps not complying with my camera...

It looks like it is the water temp sensor for the fans. in the wiring diagram they call it a water thermoswitch. should be a Black/red wire

Yep, that's the connector for the fan thermoswitch. You big time need it, that sensor is one of the inputs that kicks the fans on.

Either find a used connector from a junkyard to splice on or get a auto parts store crimp on female space connector. It's a little ghetto, but it does work. I think you need the smaller one, like for the negative terminal on a speaker.

womp womp.. guess im gonna halfta ghetto rig it.. does that affect fuel at all? my friend said that the ecu like compensates for the motor being hotter and dumps more fuel into the engine?
