Help with Race Logic System

Please help guys, for those of you that use a race logic do you connect the system to cut the injectors or the alternative method to cut the spark?

It looks very easy with the page sent I received to go directly into the ecu. However my concern is cutting the fuel. It seems cutting the spark would be better.

Thanks

Don't second guess the operation of the system. It was designed to cut fuel on EFI systems, not spark. The spark option RaceLogic offers is only for carbureted applications where cutting fuel is impractical.

If you have questions, contact Jeremy Williams at Matrix Engineering. I'm sure he'd be happy to help.

Anything that cuts fuel without cutting spark is not good in our engines. You forget that we are still rotary jim.

Rotary has nothing to do with it. Combustion cannot take place without an adequate amount of fuel in the combustion chamber.

There may be a difference with the rotary systems, but RaceLogic's web site states what I posted above... the spark cut feature is intended for non-EFI applications.

Jim,

I remember that you're one of those who got this TC from the group buy. You were not convinced before, but then someone changed your mind. May I know why you changed you mind? Cuz, I think you were not sure if it's safe for your 30K motor.

I talked to RaceLogic about my concerns at length and got all the technical reasons for why it's safe and works the way it does, but it was the results I've heard about from others that finally sold me.

Now that we know the "$1,500 challenge" isn't going to take place, Kyle Bacon (nocab72) is using the system and says it works flawlessly. Peter (RICE RACING) is using it on his 500+ RWHP 1st gen. and says the same. There are a considerable number of high horsepower Supras running the system with the same results, and the Blitz Supra that ran Nurburgring in 7 minutes 49 seconds also used the RaceLogic system. Customer testimonials with real world results are what convinced me.

Race Logic also puts a custom program on the system for rotary applications. But as Jim stated, there is no reason I can think of that would cause a problem in a rotary.

I have the system, but have yet to install it. I'll get around to it in the next couple of months.

The Racelogic system is perfectly safe. If ALL the fuel is cut then there is none left to lean out the mixture since there is no combustion at all; that's how the system works.
