Unhappy Help My Oil Pressure Is Almost At 0!

HI everyone I need some help here. I just got my 94 RX 7 touring and I was driving today and when I was at a stoplight the oil pressure was almost at 0! When I accelerate it goes up to about 25% well under the 60 on the guage. I checked the oil and it needed to be changed but it was not that low and the oil light was not on. I changed the oil with 10W30 Pennzoil and the boost was about 25% on the guage but I did not take the car for a long run to warm it up. What do you think the problem is? Do I need a new oil pump? I am running 10lbs of boost and the car takes off real strong, also just yesterday when I start the car it didnt rev to 3,000 rmp to warm the car up. So please help me with this, thanks!

First check the Oil Pressure Sender. It's under the oil filter pedestal. It tends to get dirty and have problems. Try cleaning it first, if that doesn't work you might need a replacement.

It's just a simple spade connector. You can use WD-40 or any other non-corrosive cleaner.

Use any mild degreaser and you might want to put a dab of dielectric grease on the connector.
