Help me reconnect this electrical ground

This was accidentally severed when I installed my exhaust a couple of months ago. Now that I've figured out what it is, I can't seem to locate the source of the connection. Any thoughts? FYI--I removed the adjacent shielding to get better visibility.

There was an eyelet on the other end of that that attached to an exhaust nut iirc

How about grounding it to another piece of metal, like the shielding? Would that work? Sorry, I'm very green when it comes to electrical matters.

Your local auto store will probably have grounding straps in the battery section.

Does removing this grounding strap hurt anything?
I'm on a PFC with no O2 sensor.
