Help me. NEED ADVICE

Ok so i put a downpipe on my fd yesterday and noticed that when i let off the gas it tends to backfire a small amount, *not everytime just here and there* The only mods are a greddy exhaust and now this down pipe. I still get boost and everything just got worried about the back fire. Could it be from bolts not tighten down enough. PLEASE help me someone...

thanks
brian

it's normal with stock ECU and exhaust.. i had the same problem before.. nothing is wrong.. just that nothing is muffling the back fire. when you change another ECU it will back fire even more... that's the time where the vacuum map is rich....

nothing is wrong.. it's normal... but if u're still on stock ECU.. just becareful on the boost...

I told you it was normal and to drive the car harder...what more do you want?

how do you fix it? you buy a stand alone ECU and pay a tuner to tune the car for your mods...OR put the car back to stock and be happy.

LOL , correct me if I am wrong, but the sign of backfiring is a good thing with the FD. It probably means you ARE running rich....which is better for your wallet then the opposite.

You can check the dashpot, a properly operating/adjusted dashpot will minimize backfires

I bet if you remove the dash pot it will eliminate back fires

hell while you are at it check the TPS calibration
