DMoney: Rubber chair stopper? I know the hose you are refering to, and on my car it just hangs down and vents whatever to the road below, so I have yet to hear any "moo", but it would be nice to delete it though. Is that Ebay kit the same as the RX7store kit? I've always been a little wary of Ebay.

Ya the ebay kit is the same. I had the same ones I refered you to on my car seen in these pics. These were probably the cheapest and coolest mod I did because it made it look good and I could really hear the turbos more.

Dmoney, just bought the ebay intake pipes. Hopefully I can use my very limited knowledge and put them on myself. Oh and does this chair cap just snap on or do I have to secure it somehow?
Fd3s4e: I've actually been talking to both Goodfellas and Cantgostraight, both of whom I feel have excellent products.

Your main options are polishing, chroming, painting, powdercoating, or ceramic coating.
Polishing is quite tedious work and very expensive. You also have to continually polish and clean it to keep it looking good.
Chroming is even more expensive and still requires constant cleaning and polishing to maintain. You also have to send the parts out for a long time to get the work done.
Painting is easy and cheap but it scratches easily and the paint turns colors over time. Grease and such eat it off easily too. The upside is that you can usually do it yourself, and even get the colors custom matched for your car if you want.
Powdercoat is much thicker and stronger than paint and does not chip or scratch as easily, and generally will not fade, but is still sensitive to many chemicals such as strong degreasers. It offers no thermal barrier. It is available in lots of colors and effects but is very hard to perfectly color-match to something like montego blue or CYM yellow as opposed to regular paint which is easy. If anyone is looking to get powdercoat work done then contact me, as I do it on the side.
Ceramic is available in 2 or 3 colors such as black, brown, and chrome-effect, and partially prevents heat transfer in/out of a part, but is not as smooth or appealing to most people as the other options. I think goodfellafd3s is the resident ceramic guy on the forum.

Now that you've got those eBay intake pipes, make SURE you buy some halfway decent couplers to go with them. The one that are provided aren't reinforced at all and may blow out.
I bought some of these

RotaryResurrection: I've talked to both Cantgostraight and Goodfellas, and seems like it just depends on whom I want to go with. I'm not opposed to maintaining something that has been polished, given that I don't do any other work on the car. But for the record, both of the above individuals have amazing services. I would guess that if something has been polished all one would have to do is just use a mild cleaning solution and some decent micro-fiber towels to keep it looking good?
BigWillieStyles: What can I say, I love the shiny stuff.
Natey: Yeah, shortly after I purchased the pipes I ordered the same couplers as what I currently have. Red hump hoses from turbohoses.com

Polished metal in the engine bay is like a set of polished or chrome rims. You have to clean them routinely to keep them looking good, and after a while the shine dulls out slightly so you have to polish them again to remove microscopic dirt and such. At least in my experience.
They make a nice clear powdercoat that you can cover polished parts with to keep them from needing this maintenance, but it also dulls the shine somewhat as well.

RotaryResurrection: Well I am pretty **** when it comes to detailing the car (another hobby of mine) so popping the hood and cleaning the shiny parts will just have to be another step in the process. I'll have to ask either one of the afore mentioned members if they coat their products with a clearcoat protectant, or something of the sort.

The only way you'd blow off the couplers on the intake is if the blow off valve isn't getting rid of the excess boost and the filter have more restriction than it will pass the air through, either way this isn't an ideal situation for a turbo setup.
