1st start up...half bridge?

Primed the oil system, then fuel sys. and cranked it...started within 5 seconds!

Lumpy idle but will not stay lit unless I give it a little gas.

Is this a normal process of the porting? when searching I came across a thread that stated so. It went onto say that after a few warm up cycles it'll settle and become easier to start and more willing to idle.

Or

Do I need to get a datalogit and mess around with the maps.

adjust your idle up from stock as the BP engines wont run under 1000rpm, try starting at 2000rpm and go down from there, still prob best to take it and have it tuned.

IIRC, BP engines are like carb engines in the winter. IT idles rough on startup but smoothens out when it warms up.

Make a video for us manny

It will take some messing around with the idle adjustment and the idle setpoint on the commander. When it's cold it will idle real lumpy, mine usually smooths ( less lumpy) out at around 60-65 c. Then it bounces at 1350- 1400...

I turned the air adjust screw quite a bit...a slight improvement but it sputtered a few times and died! I had to run out so I left it alone for tonight.
I'll open that bitch up all the way and back down from there...

I dont think I'm too crazy about a 1500 rpm idle but the shaking alone, nevermind the loud *** exhaust.
Gotta charge up the camera...it was CLASSIC! right as I'm holding the gas right at 1.5rpm, this old lady walks on by...tons of smoke pouring out of the garage, the noise, the look on her face!
