help me get this y-pipe on!!

uh yeah this seems like the dumbest question ever but i ordered this efini y-pipe from intense motorsports and i can't get this thing on. i did the whole lube the o ring and connect the two pieces of the y-pipe together and tired to line up the turbos to the y-pipe but it was too short. i looked at my old usdm ypipe and the portion that connects to the rear piece looked a tad bit longer. So i just hooked on both without connecting them together and its like they seriously made this thing too short. i have searched and cant really find anything. is it possible that mazda messed up producing this piece cause im seriously stumped.

What do you know about your turbos? If they are BNRs they require the Y pipe to be extended..

good looking on that extension thing. i just looked at the y-pipe had before and it looks like a weld in piece was placed in to extend. so the question now is where is the most legit place i can get this y-pipe extended at in southern cali?

I would just send it to BNR and have them do it for you..

Yup, send it Bryan to have it extended. It's been posted many times here that the 'new' BNRs have the twin T28 cartridges which are longer than stock, thus requiring the y-pipe to be extended

1/4 inch is all that is required iirc. BNRs are great turbos too, you're much better off then if you didn't need to extent the y-pipe ^_^

its pretty easy if you need to extend it, just cut it, get a piece of aluminum pipe that is the same size, and weld it in. should take 15 minutes if you have the right size pipe and someone to weld it.

strange though, that should work with the stock turbos. you must have either aftermarket turbos, or something is loose...
