Help me find my coolant leak!

Ok I replaced the AST, and the coolant is now leaking from another place. It looks like its dripping down from somewhere right under the throttle body, dripping down the driver's side of the engine, in between the front and rear spark plugs, down onto the cross member, onto the ground. Its not pouring out, but its a pretty fast drip. I can't see where exactly its coming from, so we are tearing everything apart on Monday. I was hoping you guys could give me some insight before than, so that maybe I can fix it now and continue breaking in the new motor.

Also, my low coolant light/alarm constantly goes off, even when the coolant is full. I just replaced the sensor, and it still goes off. Any ideas? Thanks again.
Dan

If it appears to be coming from around the TB, remove the elbow and you will see a small hose (preformed right angle piece). It is right under the TB and could be replaced without removing the UIM and TB.
The other small hose is right behined the UIM (between the UIM and the firewall) it is much longer and the other end is harder to get to (the UIM need to be removed to get to it).
Good luck tracking the leak.

Why did the leak suddenly start? Have you recently taken the UIM off? If you have the stock clip-on clamps on the hoses around the manifold, make sure they are tight enough. Otherwise change to the screw on variety. My coolant light kept coming on and I couldn't figure out where the leak was. Took everything apart in front of the engine. AST looked like crap but had no leak. I don't care...threw it away and got an aluminum one. Then noticed the hose from the AST to the overflow was loose at a connector at it's midpoint...WTF...why wasn't this one piece. Ok, whatever....I zip-tied it.....then traced another hose to the radiator where the plastic nipple proceeded to snap off. Ok, replaced the radiator with Fluidyne. Fine. Then the light came on less often. Crap. Got a Woods lamp out and found the slow leak under the throttle body. Took a screw-driver and tightened the clamp on the hose as it meets the throttle body.

Problem solved.

Of course now I'm getting the engine light on and a code indicating the EGR isn't working right. Sheesh...this car......

The car sat for 14 months due to a blown motor and fried harness. Put the new motor in, all new vaccuum hoses, and a new wiring harness among other things. So now little problems are popping up as this is the first time its been drivin in a while.

Thanks for all the help guys. I'll take off the elbow tommarow and see if thats the right hose. If not I guess i'll wait till monday.
