Unhappy Help me determine why my boost is bleeding off.

Recently I lost my ability to maintain boost. I can actually hear the boost bleeding away under power. Almost sounds like the charge relief valve is stuck open. You can hear a whoooosh sound. The most I get on the gauge is 8lbs. I used to get 14lbs. I checked the CRV's. The primary is closed at idle and the secondary is open. I think that's the correct state. All the pipes appear to be tight. What do you guys suggest that I check. This sucks, car feels like a civic.......

I just had this problem.. I initally took my UIM, checked all the vaccume.. and finally realized that my coupler was bad.. one of them had a small rip.. I didn't see it, so, make sure all your pipings are in order..

Check the y-pipe coupler and all other intake hose couplings.

LAracer,

are you talking about the intercooler hose couplings or actually intake.. I think you meant the IC couplings.. thats what I meant my couplers.. couplings..

herblenny: yeah, you're right. There's not enough pressure before the compressor for any leaks there to notice. Hoses going from the compressor to the ic are what I meant.
