HELP, major coolant leak.
On the way to work, I stopped at a stop sign and saw steam coming from under the hood, low coolant light went off shortly after. I stopped and steam is pouring out underneath the intake tubes (some coolant actually on top of the tubes). I plan on having the car towed home. I haven't had a chance to look at it closer. Anybody have any idea where the leak maybe coming from? Coolant hose to the turbos?
Thanks!
Thanks!

There are 5 different hoses in that location, upper rad, lower rad, turbo inlet, turbo outlet, and water pump to heater hard pipe. You won't know 'till you rip into it! SOOO much fun dealing with coolant issues!
If you want to start ruleing things out then put some more coolant into it and start the car and look under the hood....take out the intake so you can see everything, if coolant doesn't start streaming out of the water pump then you know thats not it. or you could just get a pressure tester and pump, pump, pump it up!

Finally started diagnosing what the problem was, and quickly found that the waterpump to turbo coolant line had a HUGE rip in it. Heat soak musta been extreme, take a look at the hose!
yep... I remember replacing all of those.. while your in there you might want to replace the other turbo coolant hose as well. It is by the hard lines for the precontrol/wastegate actuators.

I just ordered both turbo lines from a local Mazda dealer, I replaced the cracked one with Goodyear fuel line of approximately the same diameter and length in the meantime. Anybody know if the fuel line will hold up?
Thanks!
