Question Help installing main pulley!

Is there any special steps in installing or taking off a main pulley? I have a Pettit main pulley that I’m trying to install.

Remove the belts, the 4 bolts holding the pulley and remove.

Actually leave the belt on and tight. If you don't have air tools it will help keep the pulley from spinning. Remove the four 10mm bolts. They shouldn't be on too tight. Another option is to use a strap wrench to hold the pulley while you crack them loose. DO NOT remove the e-shaft bolt. There is no reason to with tht type of pulley and you could cause motor damage.

This is one of the many good things I like about a rotary. You don't have to worry about timing issues! Not a piston motor!
