Get a Wilkie button from the hardware store and insert it into the clutch peddle tab that depresses the safety switch for starting.

so i figured out what the problem was .

the red circle there is a rubber stopper for the clutch pedal once its pressed, it cracks and breaks as it ages . if it dose break it'll break the plastic button that's inside the green circle. when both breaks you experience a no start problem. just one of the many thing that could be your fix on click click *5000 click no start issue

If the rubber plug in the green circled area breaks, you won't get a click at all. Your clutch switch won't work properly, so you'll turn the key forward and nothing will happen--- no click. This is getting more and more common as these cars age. One fix in a pinch is a short bolt and a nut.
