HELP hood release cable broke.

I was working on my car today. And after i was done i closed the hood. then i thought i should check my fluid levels why im at it. Went to pop it and the handle felt lose and the hood didnt pop. I then tryed to open the hood with some screw drivers and a flash light but I cant get it to pop. Has any one had this problem and how did you get it open. The cable fell off the latch while i wastrying to open it so that didnt work.

Yeah, so none of those ideas worked. the cable had come off the latch, and i tried putting some thing in that round hole and wiggling it around but that didnt do any thing.

I have a carbon fiber hood that i dont really care that much about and my front bummper is around a 8 out of ten so i put the rubber coated ends of plyers in between the hood and bumper and pride it open. I then had a friend push my head light button and i stoped it with my hand half way down and rolled a ratchet extention with a swivle and a 10mm socket between the hood and bumper. It took some time to not cause much damage but I managed to take all 3 bolts out and get the hood open. What a pain in the butt. I hope this helps some one some day.

All it did was ruff up the inside edge of my hood and if any one sees that they are way too close to my car.
