Help !!!Down pipe troubles
Help !!!Down pipe troubles
I recently had a down pipe put pn my 94 fd, but unfortunately one of the bolt that holds the factory pipe broke. The new pipe is one, but i only have three nuts and bolts holding it on. I thinks it is already starting to come loose because i hear a rattle when i start the car and some exhaust is coming out of the downpipe into the engine bay. What do i need to do and what part do i need to buy Please help!!!!
Also, I am getting a whitish smoke from my car when i start it up it i have not driven it in a while, is that a coolant leak? I need help here too. THanks for any support that you can give me.

So you thought it would be OK to bolt up the downpipe using 3 bolts?? Take your car to a competent mechanic. He will probably tell you that the turbos will have to come off to repair the broken bolt. Be prepared to pay at least $400.
well.............. i new it would niot last long but i did not have the money to get it fixed properly........i have not really been driving the car. My mechanic told the same thing.but i just wanted another opinion..
Why did my car blow whitish smoke when i first started.............before i touched the down pipe....... what kind of leak is happening......what do i need to do or look at.......is a coolant related?
Smoke or Steam?
White or smoke is usually turbo related. A little bit of steam on start up is very common. A ton of steam on start up may be cause for concern. Does this "smoke" smell sweet, like coolant? Does your car use coolant? If it does, there is your answer.
