Help choosing ignition system
So i just got my engine rebuilt and im in the process of converting to single turbo. My hp goal is 400 and it'll be mostly street driven. I already bought the hks twin power when i found a good deal. Im just stuck on whether or not i should get new oem plugs, wires and keep the coils or just go straight to aem smart coils, magnecor wires, and race plugs. Or should i get all 4 BUR9EQP ngk plugs. Thanks for any input
I would go with 4 x NGK BUR9EQP plugs
you can do 400hp on a properly functioning stock ignition system.
So pretty much any option will work assuming the system in general is in good condition.
Though, if i had money burning a hole in my pocket and I wanted to upgrade, just because, (or if the stock system had gremlins) I would go with the smart coils.
Wires, again, IMO they make minimal difference unless there is a problem with your current wires. (corrosion, plug wires not "snapping on properly" etc)

Twin power will be fine for your power goals. NGKBUR9EQP spark plugs for up to 15 psi boost. Beyond that I run NGK race plugs in 10.5 heat range. The ign1a smart coil setup is better but unless you go with a more advanced ecu capable of running direct fire you won't see the full benefit. Magnacore wires are junk in my opinion. The boots don't fit right and tend to pop off. I run the NGK oem replacement wires.
