Hi everyone,

I'm having some issues with my FD

It's almost stock, just has a downpipe, no air-pump, a Forge mechanical boost controller, and a boost gauge

The boost controller and gauge were only installed with the downpipe, to keep the boost down to 12psi

So, the issue is the following... engine starts perfectly, car pulls nicely as well... but after about 10 or 15 minutes of driving, I get a CEL. Now with the CEL, I get fuel-cut whenever the engine tries to build boost. With the CEL on, the boost gauge won't go over 0psi without hitting fuel-cut

Any ideas on what may be causing this? Maybe it's entering some kind of limp-mode or something?

Is the car running a stock ecu?

 

Yup, stock ECU

 

If you can see the CEL, then you have a North American version of the FD? If so, start by pulling the codes:

Check Engine Light Codes

 

Running 12psi on stock ecu is probably the cause, supposed to be 10psi?

Depends on the rpm.. However, fuel cut doesn't throw a CEL so if that is lighting up you need to understand why that is happening first. It could be they are related problems (i.e. figuring out the CEL fixes the cut out you are getting) but take one thing at a time.
