HELP! car wont shut off

this has happened a couple of times now. i turn the key to the off position and take it out and the car stays on. i have to put on the parking break and slowly release the clutch to kill it. when i do so the add coolant, oil pressure, abs, battery, and high exhaust temp lights stay on. when i disconnect the battery they shut off of course but when i reconnect it there is a clicking sound like a relay or something coming from the abs area. before i get out the volt meter and start checking every connection is there someone who has had this simular problem or can point me i a direction. i dont see any burnt wires of loose connections. the car turns on fine. i am just kinda lost. there are no rotary mechanics anywhere close to my town and im not taking the car to just any mechanic. i am a new owner and not to familier with the electrical of the car. thanks

By any chance do you have an aftermarket alarm system (with turbo timer) or a turbo timer in general ?

Yeah I wouldn't worry about all the lights coming on if you stall it out like that, normal.

As for the now turning off--Ignition switch, relay, bad ground? hummmm its too early for me on this one.

You dont even have a Mazda nearby?

So the wires just jumped up and changed positions?

You sound pretty sure, so did you change them? haha
