lately it seems after i have been driving my car shut it off and then occasionally when i start it up it will start to surge and it wont stop until sometime awhile.I am using a power fc.

look up the power fc and surging on the ecu forum .. you should get your answer there ..

 

If it's just happening at idle when hot, then I wouldn't worry about it. It happens to me sometimes too.

 

Did you just install your PFC? If so, it needs to 'learn' your car's idle characteristics till it settles down. Just keep driving your car, it will smooth out. Also check in the PFC Forum for tips on minimizing it. look for posts on funky idle.

 

Thanks guys, no i had the power fc installed about 7 months ago but just recently it has been surging.

 

what do you mean surging? Is the idle just fluctuating when you are sitting with the car out of gear? Or, is it surging when you get on the throttle in gear, at what rpm, at what boost? We need more info if anyone is going to be able to help you. If it is just a fluctuating idle then check your lower intake manifold gasket with some carb cleaner, clean out your ISC valve, and check your wax rod valve thing...
