Trying to figure out which line is the inlet and outlet on the heater core. Getting very little heat out the vents and most likely I will be flushing the heater core. I tried searching but looks like no one has mentioned it also looked threw the manual. Thanks in advanced

Thanks bud. I did search but only found the second link. That one really didn't help me but that first one did. Now is it correct as far as the top is the inlet from the drivers rear block. The lower is the outlet and goes to the lower water pump section? Thanks again fam

 

Yep, you got it right. If you're going to flush it it can help to flush it backwards, that will push any crap out of it.

Also, most FD's don't seem to have that strong of a heater for whatever reason. FC's I've owned in the past would ROAST you.

Several years ago I had a nearly completely blocked heater core due to the block-sealer I'd put in trying to limp my failing water seals a few more months...anyway, I was very successful and now have a nuclear-level heater in my car.


I did a full write-up on it...too lazy to search right now.

 

read the book man! they made the heater less strong in the FD so you don't fall asleep driving it

ya its designed purposely to not be fully hot when on face level vents, but full heat on defrost or feet.

 

There is NO heat from the face-level vents, as above, so it doesn't put you to sleep. Only from the defrost and lower outlets. In the rare cold weather outing, I put it on defrost and foot setting, which works well keeping the whole cabin warm.
