Heater core flow. What is the proper direction of flow?

What is the proper direction of flow for a 93 rx7 heater core? Which nipple is the intake and which is the outlet if you are looking at the firewall?

The top is the inlet from the drivers rear block. The lower is the outlet and goes to the lower water pump section.
