Question Heat Shields and Radiator Cooling Plates

My 7 is getting up in the miles at around 104K and reliability mods are weighing heavily on my mind after going with a FMIC instead of V-mount. I have searched the forums and found a couple threads on heat shields. Can some take a look at my engine bay (below) and help figure out how and where to mount heat shields. Places to purchase items would be great as well (My budget is getting pretty tight I might add). I have also been reading up on Tien / CARB Radiator Cooling Plates. Does anyone who own's one know if it will work with my setup. Thanks.

The only thing you might want to consider would be:

I was told that turbo blankets keep to much heat in the housing. Is that true? That is why i was looking for heat shields.

You could use one of these. Keeps the heat out but doesn't hold the heat against the turbo like the blanket.

Arizon Rotary Rockets makes them.

Here is what I did:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/my-radiator-fmic-ducting-mini-project-651168/

I probably wouldn't count on that Carbing plate doing much unless it seals to the radiator.

After the ducting in the above link, I also added spacers between my lip and the lower part of the front bumper to allow air to get under the IC to the rad. That also helped quite a bit.

Good luck.

btw - most people refer to this as "ducting" rather than cooling plates. Might help when you search for what other people have done.
