Heat Shield for Apexi Intakes?

Has anyone perfected a heat shield for the Apexi Duals and can post or send me a template or Pics..........

I was all set to fab Damian's heat shield and then realized it won't fit the Apexi's............

BTW Damian thanks for all the help and the great template.........sorry it didn't fit my setup.........

Anyway, any pics suggestions, etc on getting heat away from and cold air to these duals is appreciated..........

Thanks in advance.

...you might want to use a more heat-resistant and durable material....

...sorry, i couldn't resist... the cardboard is just for a template, right???

sorry, i've got nothing constructive to add to the thread....

I was about to say that too. If you are thinking about putting cardbaord heatshield, expect problems. That thing is going to burn in 30 min tops.

Yunno, maybe if you used really "good" cardboard......

Anyway, let us know how it goes..........I'm assuming you've seen Damians threads on this subject..........

Here's one where someone asks about the APEXI and he's got pics of a shield they can "sit on"..........look down the 1st page to his 3/10/03 post..........

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=164836

I contacted him..............he said you could use the bottom piece of his regular template but you'd have to modify the top piece for the APEXI's..............

I'll have to check to make sure what's in the pic's looks like the bottom part of his two piece template...........I'll try to mess with this this weekend as well...........
