Heat Not Working
So I just got back from leave and picked up my new Chaste White 94 and i've found some quirks. Biggest issue right now being that my heat doesnt work and i'm not sure the A/C really works either. The fan works fine, blows on all levels, through the vent and floor, it just stays pretty much ambient temperature regardless of what setting I put it on. The car is all original 94 with 74k miles. All it has done to it is a down pipe and an M2 intake. Any ideas where to start? I read the body wiring manual and I read the troubleshooter about check the voltage in the Air Mix Actuator?, but i really dont want to have to remove the dash if its not necessary. Also I have searched, but the things i've found either arent pertaining to my specific issue or had no conclusion. LMK if anybody has any ideas.

I have the same problem. It turns out that the airmix actuator isn't working. To replace it, the dash has to come out. Our cars are 18 years old. Removing the dash will likely mean breaking some of the old brittle plastic parts. I would rather go without heat than break my dash parts, and risk having a rattling dash.

Lol well this is the first time i've ever seen the car in person. Bought it out of Rhode Island and had it shipped to me in El Paso while I was home on leave. Turns out the car wasnt as "perfect" as described lol. Ill check the thermostat and heater hoses today, but if that was the case wouldnt it have issues heating up? I hope i dont have to take this damn dash out for a simple little part.

if your blower is working and your heater hoses arent looped or blocked off then its going to be your airmix as earlier stated. if the hoses are blocked off or looped for some reason, then its possible that the heater core is leaking. either way, you have a 90% chance of having to dig into the dash.
good luck
good luck
but on a serious note, do they even blow hot air if its the face area? i know it can get hot if on the feet, but if put on the face it just gets warm, if that
Also, the heater core on the "7" is notorious for getting plugged. Some have had success running radiator cleaner through the core using a recirculating pump connected to the heater hoses on the outside of the firewall. . .let it recirculate for several hours or overnight until it circulates freely!

I think its the Air Mix actuator. The AC doesnt get any colder and it doesnt get any hotter. It just stays the same regardless of where the temp setting is.
