mazda made this special key for it, BUT you can remove it with like a 14gauge wire through the sides of the unit, on the sides there caps that come off and the goes in, but poke it with the wire to push down on the clips, might take a little effort but will come off, once you have it off youll understand... You can go to AutoZone and buy the keys for it. 14 gauge wire won't be strong enough. Most people use coat hangars instead, however you risk cracking the plastic. I tried to remove mine with a coat hanger and ended up having to break mine into pieces to get it out. There are tons of threads on this in the Interior/Exterior/Audio section.
