Hawaii peeps please help! "safety check issues"

I was wondering if you guys could help a fellow fd owner out. I'm having troubles finding someone to safety check my car. My car basically has rims/bodykit with wing, so it will not pass (legally?). I havent tried going for recon, however, its a pain in the *** and I know I wont pass that either. I know a few people that used to pass "illegal" cars, but no longer do so. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Time to move to the Big Island!!

No problems for me with a single turbo, kit wheels etc... And mine is loud as fudge with an open WG and straight thru GT exhaust.

Guess knowing someone at the Mazda dealership can be a good thing.
And none of that recon crap!

Funny how none of the braddas with 15 foot tall trucks get messed with huh? You need an "uncle" on the force Walter!!

Hmm....I don't know if they'll do it...but you might want to try Ben Apuya. He did give me crap about not having a front license, but he seemed like a nice guy who'd not care about some bodykit...as long as the car is in great running condition, and has all the lights.

I just had my safety check done a few days ago, so he'll recognize the fact you have an FD, and I had one, too....maybe you could say I pointed you over there for business...that should help. I'm Michael Kitchens, by the way...

G'luck, bro...by the way, we should hook up...I'd love to see your RX-7...so far I've seen two...a red one, and pretty nice silver one. In fact...Skunks...I think it was yours..it was Ala Moana mall on the top level a few months back. I wasn't in my FD at the time, though...heheh.
