Hatch gas strut problem help plz

After i put on new spoiler, the struts can't hold the weight and the hatch just drops down.
I but i doubt the spoiler is that heavy..hence i think the gas is weak?
Can this actually be re-gased? If so where?
Or does it require new strut?

Also my fuel pump plug (the thing in the boot when you lift up the carpets) seem to have bad connectiong and car stalls randomly and fuel pump stops hence i can't start my car . After i wiggle around the
plug it seem to work fine again. Is there product to make connection better or
would changing the plug be wise option?

Thx in advance

i would change them both, but first the fuel pump as its more important then being able to keep your hatch open.

i have had the same problem with my struts they are most likely needing to be replaced which i need to do, i dont know why but i always buy other things for the car instead of that. which pisses me off when i have to work back there,

I heard that other cars with bonnet gas strut can be re-gased, but our cars cant be gased?
Its really buggering me off and i was even trying to take the spoiler off yesterday.
Is there someone who sells new ones? I wouldnt want another one like mine and would be safer to get a new one..

BUT FIRST, worry about the damn fuel pump. Get a stick or something to hold the hatch up so you can diagnose and fix the fuel pump problem...
