Never heard of them. There are many others that have already been proven to work well.

If you look up the picture of the FD radiator it doesn't look small at all.

It looks at least as large as a Koyo.

Personally I'd check the actual core thickness, since thicker cores don't always bolt in. If you want a 100% direct fit that's something to look out for.

Here's some comparison Pics i took while installing mine. I had to widen the holes on the fan shroud and do a little trimming here and there to get the fitment i wanted. The core size is 2.5". The radiator doesn't have a drain in the bottom tank, I had to make a mount for the top of the radiator and the bottom hose fitting seems a little long...It's a tight fit but it does indeed fit. Oh yea, it also doesn't have a hose fitting for the ast hook-up so i just opted to delete mine.

for a custom V-mount, you can probably just call up a place that makes radiators. i was looking to make one for another car a while back, and called C&R and they had pretty good pricing. you'll just have to give them your specifications.

if you mean the pics of the Honda engine bay, that actually looks larger (thicker) than stock.

Well, what Haste did was they mounted a threaded bung where the hose fitting for the ast goes. I guess you could drill, retap and install a barb fitting if you wanted or they may have fixed the issue by now. I used it for a bracket mounting point as you can see in the pics. They asked me to do a review on the radiator for them so I've made them aware of any/all issues I experienced. Top driver side you'll see one of the small brackets and bottom center you'll see the other. But it's not like the radiator could move even if the brackets weren't there. You'll have to excuse the filthy engine bay for now...I know it looks aweful

Hello, my name is Harvey from Haste Engineering. RX7's fitting issue is brought to our attention recently. By any chance anyone can provide more information about the ast?

We tried to look for a test car in CA but most of them are either AT or had major front damage. Anyone here has a FD3S MT with straight front end that wants to be our test car ?

Thank you
Harvey

The following picture is our new patch of radiator for RX7 FD3S. Please PM or email me if anyone wants to try it on at Advan-Emotion, Inc. in Alhambra, CA 91803 (our US distributor). They will install it and do a fitting report for us.

Here is a picture of our draft.

Harvey, it looks like you guys shortened the lower hose outlet, added the upper mounting tabs, the ast fitting and a drain. Only problem I see is that the drain probably needs to be on the bumper side of the radiator so coolant won't spill everywhere. Will these also be available without the ast hookup?

Got it Josh, i'll put that on note for the next patch. Also, anyone can point out the pro and con to have ast & w/o ast? I've seen some post about removing the ast would cause localized overheating. Anyone ever had this problem before?

The radiators on E-Bay look like the old version. I understand that this radiator is a true three core, does it cool any better?

the old style look EXACTLY like the ASI radiator i bought from ebay. haste look like a distributor for them.

getting it on was a complete bitch. fans dont fit properly, it didnt have a ast return, drain or top mounts. bottom mounts also didnt fit properly and i had to hammer the ends in slightly.

people are going to have problems with the new version too because of the size the mounts may not fit right.

I have heard of install issues for Haste radiators for other cars besides the FD. I am installing the new Koyo N-Flow.

if i didnt lower the front of the aircon, there would be no way this radiator would fit in the stock location, well it would fit but nothing else would go on, battery tray, duct, cooler.

now that its on im pretty happy with it.

ok, a few ppl have PM me about the fitment of the ebay radiators that all look very similar or are the ASI radiator i bought. Here is a quick pic of the fitment issues. i forgot to add

I hope the owner of the pic doesnt mind me hacking theirs up. I think it will benefit others looking into the ebay coolers.

NO COOLANT DRAIN.

my asi straight out of the box from china

Why not just get a Fluidyne? Is the haste that much cheaper? Something that bolts right in (and fits) is preferable to a time-intensive hack job in my opinion.

i've been looking around for radiators, what i hate is the upper end-tank like stock is smaller on one side then the other, anyone know where to get a direct fit like fluidyne, but with a flush upper end-tank? i have a aftermarket SMIC which i gotta make a custom duct for so i dont' really need that drop as much as these do. Thanks!!
