Hard to Start

Ok guys my FD has been getting hard to start for quit some time now, I had a bad boost leak for a long time and couldnt find it untill the other day I found a large slice in the intercooler hose I fixed that problem and everything seem to get better overcourse running wise but still I was haveing the hard starts, know today I got home after driving the car for about 20 min. and the car quit pulling into my driveway, I tried starting the car again and it just cranked, I pumped the gas a little and it seemed to respond a little better so I went in the house and let the car cool down for about an hour i went back out and tried to start it again and it still just cranked untill i started pumping the gas, I pumped the gas enough to get the car started and everything workerd like it was suposed to other than the car not wanting to idle as soon as i let off of the gas the car would quit again. If anyone else has had this problem, please let me know what you did to fix it. Thanks

Could be a vacuum leak. That would be the first place I'd start. If it responds better when you push the gas then you can rule out flooding. It sounds like it is flooding but if it responds better with throttle then it probably isn't. Check for a vacuum leak. Hope this helps.

Thanks I did have a really bad boost leak for a long time in the intercooler hose it didnt make it do what it is doing now but i guess maybe a vacume leak could be different from a boost leak I dont know much about this car or any turbo car, thanks for the input and please let me know if a vacume leak is different from a boost leak.

pull the vac. line to the fpr and smell it. If it smells like fuel it is bad.

Also like nopistons94 said check engine compression it think mazda says that is has to be a 7 on the compression tester to start.
