hanger on right side of RB duals?

hey guys,

just installed my RB dual today, however on the right side of the muffler, there's a plate there that's suppose to attach on to "a chasis retainer."

i dont have this? any of you other guys with the RB have this problem? do you guys just cut it off?

thanks!

The hanger is actually attached to the stock muffler. you must remove it and attach it to the RB muffler.

i had the same 'problem'. then i looked at my stock exhaust and said maybe i could use the hanger from that. and what did i see but that the hanger was bolted on and not welded on.
un bolt the hanger, stick the rod in the rubber hanger and bolt it to the brackets on the racing beat. you should be set now...

Does anyone else find that bracket to be an eyesore? How noticeable is it when you are behind the car. It jumps out at me in the pics. And IMO is repulsive. Almost reason enough for me to cancel my order.

Not sure, but a friend has a RB DT (which I really like over my Greddy SP) and I haven't noticed it on his. Maybe his is just hanging down more w/o the hanger attached. I'm thinking when it's bolted up properly, it's nearly out of sight.

yeah, apn, i put my bolts in the other direction and it keeps it a little cleaner. would be nice to get that hanger and the flange on the muffler powder coated a nice flat black so you don't see it as much, but still that's a lotta money for minimal impact.
