Half of key stuck in ignition, wayyy deep
Guys, dont ask how I did it but I have half of my key stuck in my ignition switch, not towards the front where I could pull it out, but in the back, wayy in the back. Is there a way to get into the ignition switch and pull it out??? I'm thinking about buying a new ignition switch, and door locks all around since my driver and passenger locks are different.

Actually, it shouldn't be that hard for a locksmith to fix. First step is to see if a locksmith can actually dig the broken piece of key out of the lock - they might be able to. If not, remove the key cylinder and let them dismantle it to remove the broken key.
You'd be AMAZED what a good locksmith can do, and for CHEAP. I bought a junker 2nd gen to fix up and sell - it came with 2 keys, one that did everything but the driver's side door, and one for the driver's side door. I removed the cylinder, took it to a locksmith with both keys, and told them to re-key the lock for the key that works everything else. They put all new components in the cylinder for it to match the key, put a new face plate and "flapper door" on it, while I waited for like $12.
There's nothing special about the key on the FD - just hit up a good locksmith and see what they recommend.

BTW, the ignition switch electronics and the lock cylinder itself are 2 separate components. If you want to replace the actual electronic switch, that's a whole different piece than the key cylinder, although Mazda might sell it as one piece or separate. Personally, I've never seen problems that could be traced to a bad ignition switch - unless you're SURE something is flaky, I wouldn't change it just to change it.
